Augusta is a village in Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 885 at the 2010 census. The village is situated on the M-96 highway, about five miles (8 km) northeast of Galesburg, and about seven miles (11 km) west of downtown Battle Creek. Fort Custer Recreation Area is immediately south of the village on the east side of theKalamazoo River. Augusta is mostly within Ross Township, though a small portion extends south into Charleston Township. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.02 square miles (2.64 km²), of which 1.01 square miles of land is land and 0.01 sq miles (0.03 km²) is water. The median age in the village was 39.2 years, with 24.2% of residents under the age of 18; 9.9% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 24.4% were from 25 to 44; 30.6% wereFrom 45 to 64; and 11% were 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 3.03. The gender makeup of the population was 49.8% male and 50.2%. The median income for a household was $375, and the median for a family was $52,250. About 4% of those under 18 were below the poverty line.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.02 square miles (2.64 km²) of which 1.01 square miles is land and 0.01square miles (0.03km²) is water. The village is located on the Ohio River, which runs through the town. The town's population was 1,071 at the 2010 census. The population of the village is 1,082 at the 2011 census. It is located at 1,091 square miles, or 1.12 square miles. The city's elevation is 1.08 square miles, or 2.62 km². It has a population of 1,061, or 3.03 square miles; it is the largest town in the state with 1,051 people. The U.N. World Heritage Site is located in the village, and it is listed as one of the world's oldest towns. It was the site of the World War II Battle of the Bulge, which took place in World War I. It's also known as the birthplace of U. S. President George H.W. Bush, who was born in the town in 1858. It also is the site for the U.,S. Air Force Academy, which was founded in 1881. The community's name is derived from the town's name, which means "the place of the hills" or "the valley" in Spanish. It became a village in the 19th century.

As of the 2010 census, there were 885 people, 362 households, and 223 families living in the village. There were 394 housing units at an average density of 390.1 per square mile (150.6/km²) The racial makeup of the village was 95.77% White, 0.67% African American, 1.11% Native American, 0.22% Asian, and 1.89% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.4% of the population. The median income for a household in theVillage was $44,375, and $52,250 for a family. About 6.0% of families and 4.8% of residents were below the poverty line, including 4.2% of those under age 18 and 6.5% ofThose age 65 or over. The village is located on the U.S. Census Bureau's West Virginia-New Hampshire border. It has a population of 885, including 368 households, 394 homes, and 394 out of a total of 899 people. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 3.02. Schools

Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools consists of a primary school and a high school in Galesburg and a middle school in Augusta. In 1951, members of the community, along with those from neighboring Galesberg, formed a joint public school district. Today, the school district consists of three schools: a primary, high school and middle school. The primary school is located in the center of the town, while the high school is in the north. The middle school is situated in the town's downtown area. The high school was built in the early 1950s. The school district was formed in 1951. It is located on the banks of the Little River, near the town of Augusta. It was established in the late 1950s, and the first school was opened in 1958. The district has been in existence since 1951, when it was formed. It now has a total of five schools: two primary, two high schools and two middle schools. It also has a primary and high school on the outskirts of the city of Augusta, which is home to the community's only high school. It has an elementary school, middle school and one elementary school on its outskirts. It opened in the mid-1960s. It closed in the 1980s.
